Accessibility Statement

Effective date: May 19, 2026

Our commitment

RecordGuards is built to serve everyone, including people who rely on assistive technologies. We target WCAG 2.1 Level AA across this platform and treat accessibility as an ongoing responsibility — not a one-time checkbox.

If something gets in your way, tell us. We act on accessibility feedback.

Conformance status

Standard: Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA Status: Partially conformant

We are actively working toward full conformance. Known limitations are listed below.

Known limitations

  • Uploaded PDFs — Documents uploaded by association administrators may not be fully tagged or structured for screen readers. If you need an accessible version of a specific document, contact us and we will work with you to identify an accessible way to access it.
  • Third-party embedded content — Certain embedded maps or widgets may not meet our conformance target. We are evaluating alternatives.

Measures we take

  • Accessibility criteria are part of our standard interface-review process for every new feature.
  • We use automated and manual testing on interface components before release.
  • We welcome and act on feedback from users who rely on assistive technology.

Supported environments

This platform is tested in:

  • Browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge (current stable releases)
  • Screen readers: NVDA on Windows; VoiceOver on macOS and iOS
  • Input methods: keyboard-only navigation; touch on mobile

Other browser and assistive technology combinations may work but are not actively tested.

Applicable law

Florida community-association members have a right to inspect and copy their association's official records under applicable Florida law (for condominiums, §718.111(12); for homeowners' associations, §720.303(4)–(5); for cooperatives, §719.104(2)). If a technical barrier on this platform prevents you from accessing records, use the contact path below and we will work with you to identify an accessible way to use the platform. Records themselves are maintained and produced by your association, which remains responsible for compliance with the applicable statute and its timelines.

RecordGuards is the software platform your association uses to maintain records; it does not review, approve, fulfill, or set deadlines for statutory records requests. Statutory rights and obligations are governed by the applicable Florida statute and your association's governing documents. Your association's counsel can advise on your specific situation.

Contact

Contact your association directly using the Front Desk form. We will work with you to identify an accessible way to use the platform.
